Wheelchair user I've been on this in CA. and I was able to go right up to the seat and transfer with the help of my friends and family. It is wonderful. They really should do one of Florida there not CA.
This ride is defiantly in the WDW top ten list. If you have always wanted to hang glide, but were too chicken to do so, myself included, this is the ride for you! I do not know how much closer to the real thing you can get between the large screen, the lifting of the seats in the air and the wind blowing. That said, it is all done so tastefully that my 4 year old has no problem riding. All of the movements are slow swooping and gradual where you can not help but feel you are floating on air. This is defiantly a fastpass ride. I have seen the stand by line get up to 3+ hours at peak season times. Heading over to the Land Pavilion to get a fastpass may be one of the first things you should do when you get into Epcot. The standby lines now offer interactive games to play while you wait and you are in an air conditioned hanger while you wait.
This attraction has a Disney Fast Pass Distribution center, which can save a lot of time. Get fastpasses early in the day as there is a limited number per ride per day distributed. For more details on visit our FastPass page.

Guests must transfer from motorized scooter or ECV to an available wheelchair, then from the wheelchair to the attraction/ride vehicle.
